Stand Up for AFSCME DC 20 Public Service Workers: Tell Your Member of Congress NO Cuts to D.C.'s Budget and vote YES on S. 1077
Our District Council 20 union siblings who serve Washington, D.C., are under attack and need your help. Their livelihoods and their communities are facing devastating budget cuts. We need to do what AFSCME does best: Stand together and fight.
Last week, Congress passed legislation that will rip $1 billion that comes from local DC taxpayers from D.C.’s budget. That means our union siblings’ jobs and all the services they provide to keep their communities thriving could be decimated. This is a cruel, unprecedented blow to dedicated public service workers who keep our nation's capital running.
BUT we have a chance to get that funding back. The Senate has already passed a bill to return the $1 billion dollars. All Congress has to do is vote YES on S. 1077.
Our AFSCME DC 20 siblings who work and live in Washington, D.C. need you to stand with them.
An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. Call your member of Congress now and tell them tell them to STOP CUTS to D.C.'s budget and vote YES on S. 1077.
