Linda McMahon is about to be confirmed as the Secretary of Education, which will hurt America’s kids and its public schools.

McMahon has said she wants to help the new administration break up the very department she’s about to lead. She plans to cut vital school funds to give tax cuts to the rich and help pay for private schools. Under her leadership, Title I funding for low-income communities, as well as funding for children with disabilities, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program and many others may end up on the chopping block.

Bus drivers, school nurses, paraprofessionals, custodians, cafeteria workers and others who keep our schools thriving may lose their jobs. Our kids, our public schools and our communities deserve better.
