Protect Our Health Care

Congress

Donald Trump promised that on day one of his presidency, he will ask Congress to send him a bill that repeals the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare). Now, Congressional leaders are planning to rush through a vote to repeal Obamacare and take away health care from 30 million people right after the holidays — even though they have no plan to replace it. Their plan would also repeal important changes that the Affordable Care Act made to Medicare like closing the prescription drug donut hole and free preventative services and could open the door to other drastic changes, such as privatizing or cutting Medicare.

Tell Washington: Don’t take away health care for 30 million people and don’t cut Medicare.

Congress must work together to fix the Affordable Care Act so that it works better for everyone rather than tearing it down.

It’s wrong to take health care away from 30 million people who get their coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It’s wrong to repeal funding from the ACA that supports Medicare. Instead of tearing the ACA down, I urge you to work to improve the law and to fix what doesn’t work.

Repealing the Affordable Care Act would be just the first step in a plan to unravel our health care system, including Medicare and Medicaid. I urge you to protect the health care that millions of Americans count on and to vote against legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
