AFSCME Medicaid Day of Action: No Cuts to Medicaid to Pay for Billionaire Tax Breaks! And no cuts to D.C.'s budget!

Medicaid funding is on the chopping block. Cutting Medicaid would force states, cities, towns and schools to slash critical public services and jobs. Workers, seniors, children and people with disabilities will suffer—all to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
Medicaid also supports jobs, especially in rural areas. Hardworking nurses, caregivers, and public service workers depend on Medicaid funding to take care of our communities. If Medicaid is cut, those jobs and the services they provide may disappear. Working families will pay the price while billionaires get another tax cut. That’s just wrong.
At the same time, there is also a bill on the table right now to STOP Congress from cutting D.C.’s budget by $1 billion. This is money that comes directly from D.C. taxpayers and funds the essential services that AFSCME District Council 20 members provide.
Let’s do something about it. Call your member of Congress. Tell them: No cuts to Medicaid to pay for billionaire tax breaks and no cuts to D.C.'s budget!
